On Monday morning, a large group of diplomats and technical workers of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Moldova took off from Chisinau on a special flight. This was informed by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MIAEI) of Moldova Igor Zakharov.
The decision to reduce the staff of the Russian Embassy in Moldova was made a month ago by the MFAEI. By August 15, 22 diplomats, as well as 23 technical workers, along with their families, were supposed to leave Chisinau.
The Moldovan Foreign Ministry informed that no more than 10 diplomats and 15 technical staff should remain in the Russian embassy.
