The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, reported that a fire broke out in the area of the Central Market in Kursk after a Ukrainian drone was shot down.
The head of the region noted that emergency services have now arrived at the scene.
Earlier, at about 21:15, the danger of a UAV attack was declared in the Kursk region, and air defense forces and means were put on alert.
Local residents are warned not to approach or touch the missile or UAV debris, as it may cause harm, and to report the discovery by calling 112.
Before this, a Ukrainian drone was shot down in the sky over the Belgorod region.
