A fan of PMC “Redan” revealed the background of the hype: “Everyone will suffer”

After mass brawls of teenagers in the Moscow shopping center “Aviapark” and “Marcos Mall”, police across the country detain teenagers associated with the Redan subculture. Opponents of the “spiders” teach teenagers how to make explosives with their own hands in order to plant them in a public place on behalf of the “redans”. In the media and the Internet, the hype does not subside, about the enthusiasm of schoolchildren by the scandalous youth movement. MK asked a fan of Redan to understand the reasons for the resonance. Arseniy leads a large public in social networks dedicated to “spiders”.

– Now many teenagers put on clothes with spiders for the sake of provocation, do you yourself wear a T-shirt with the Redan symbol?

– Now it’s scary to wear clothes with “Spiders”. Put on – be prepared to get to the bottom or beat.

– What is this subculture, what is its highlight?

– The clothes themselves are from the anime “Hunter X Hunter”. All these signs on the spiders belong to a certain character from the anime. The style of clothing itself does not carry anything. She was considered cool among the youth of the subculture: “Grandfather Inside” is a meme that gave rise to the subculture of those who feel internally empty, “dead from the inside.” This clothing itself appeared in 2021, and became popular among teenagers who love anime, like to dye their hair and so on. Of them grew “redanovtsy”.

– Why are the letters PMC in the name of anime fans?

– There was no Redan PMC, there was a small VKontakte group, and when people found out about the Wagner PMC, they called themselves PMC for fun.

– Are there any closed chats where fans of the “spiders” communicate with each other, agree on holding some kind of promotions?

– There are communities in social networks where people who are interested in these clothes and culture simply consist. People who walk around with spiders on their clothes are not related to each other in any way, this is not some kind of grouping, they do not have general chats. They are subcultures, nothing more. Because of all this hype with Redan, everyone is treated with the same brush, they say that this is some kind of PMC and that they all organize mass fights together, etc.

– Because of what the hype associated with Redan began?

– The conflict began with the fact that the teenagers had a fight on February 19 in the Aviapark shopping center. Two of them were the owners of large communities in the VK on the topic “Redan”, and were known in their environment. They circulated the video of the fight and it started some kind of explosion. Schoolchildren began to massively “troll” the participants in the conflict, to break through them on the Internet. We found several people who were on the video, and began to write threats to them and spam nasty things. After that, the owner of the clothing brand that the “spiders” love so much wrote a post where he urged them to get together and take a walk around the “Aviapark”. A meeting was organized, nothing happened there, they just took pictures and dispersed.

– The police in Moscow and other cities received dozens of calls about mining, from PMC Redan, have you heard anything about this?

– Yes, I am not aware of any cases of swatting by the Redanites. It all started after the meeting of the “spiders” on February 23rd. After her, some teenagers began to engage in “swatting”, i.e. call the police and say that a bomb will be planted in such and such a shopping center or school, and this was done by people in clothes with “spiders”. I blame them, of course. On the other side of the conflict, “offs” football fans also began to engage in swatting and also blamed everything on the “spiders”. In this situation, both sides behaved horribly. The administrators of the “Redan” groups in VK, who were the first to distribute the video, needed to stop this, but they did not. This is mainly done by the haters of the Redan community, who have been told that people with spiders on their backs are doing something bad. Because of this, everyone will suffer, because the authorities can seriously take up this matter and stand up against the anime community as a whole, although the “inadequate” and stuffing from third parties are to blame for this.

In some TG channels, the opponents of the “Redanovites” post the email addresses of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, urging them to write messages about mining there. Moreover, they also post video instructions on how to make improvised explosive devices from an alarm clock.

Why do teenagers who are not even addicted to this subculture become fans of “spiders”?

I think that the schoolchildren wanted to show their strength in front of the so-called “offers” (people who do not like how others dress, dye their hair, etc.). Perhaps some are just looking for extreme sports, it’s fun for them to run from the police through the shopping center.

– Why did many on the Internet take up arms against the “Redanovites”?

– After the mass arrests of “offniks” and “redanovtsy”, a huge scandal exaggerated from a small fight is raging on the network. The problem is that on behalf of the Redan community, negativity and calls for hatred and harassment of other groups and nationalities are spammed on the network. Moreover, these were not participants in the fight, but simply random people. The hype just rose, many wanted to participate in it. “Offs”, football fans began to walk around the shopping centers and look for everyone who is at least somehow similar to the “spiders”, as a result, all lovers of the Gothic style of clothing get it. On the part of adequate members of the Redan community, we urge you not to come to any gatherings so as not to provoke provocations, and it’s better not to wear clothes with “spiders” until everything settles down.

The infamous Redan subculture, in whose idea there is nothing but love for anime and the gothic style of clothing, literally became outlaws in just a week. In public places, police officers detain all teenagers who are similar in description to fans of “spiders”. In the area of ​​the Shchelkovskaya metro station on February 26, a crowd of about 100 people was seen, in black clothes, apparently Redan fans. For some reason they lined up in a line, and when they saw the law enforcement officers, they fled. On February 27, in the lobby of the Otradnoye metro station, the police detained about 30 opponents of the Redanovites, the teenagers had knives and pepper spray. On February 26, the police of the Solntsevo district was contacted by the mother of an eleventh-grader, with a statement that her son was being threatened by “Redanovites”. According to the teenager, his acquaintance called him, said that he was a “spider”, and tomorrow 1,500 thousand people would gather in one of the shopping centers to sort things out, and called him with him. When the student refused, an acquaintance posted his phone number in the Redan community and wrote insults on his behalf. After that, the teenager began to receive calls and threats from an unknown number. The young man who called his friend to the “shooter” told “MK” that he and his friend just wanted to play a trick on a friend, and had nothing to do with the “spiders”.
