The working group on the military operation in Ukraine submitted to the State Duma a draft law introducing the same conditions, amounts and procedure for insurance for members of volunteer formations as for military personnel. This was announced by the head of the working group, First Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Andrei Turchak.
According to him, the government gave a positive opinion on the draft law. “At the same time, the law will have retroactive effect, that is, it will apply to all participants in the SVO who voluntarily went to the front from the very first day of the special operation,” Mr. Turchak wrote in Telegram.
In May, the same working group submitted to the State Duma a draft law on the payment of compulsory state insurance to close relatives of fighters who died in the course of hostilities before July 14, 2022. In addition, Andrei Turchak at a meeting with Vladimir Putin suggested to equalize the salaries of military personnel, the president supported this idea.
