A digital profile will be introduced for migrant workers

The government is discussing the introduction of digital profiles of migrant workers to strengthen control

At a meeting between Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and United Russia Duma members, strengthening control over labor migrants was discussed, said Vice Speaker Sergei Neverov. In particular, a digital profile will be compiled for each migrant.

The parliamentarian called the topic of labor migration painful, but requiring a careful and thoughtful approach.

The following data will be entered into the digital profile of a person who comes to work – “where he is moving, when permits expire, where he lives, with whom.” According to Neverov, any transfer to another job or dismissal should be controlled, since this is “not only a matter of safety, but also a matter of respecting the rights of migrant workers themselves.”
