A delegation from Sakhalin went to the international forum “Russia is a Sports Power”

The delegation of the Sakhalin region takes part in the XI International Sports Forum “Russia – a Sports Power” in Perm. The event will last until October 22, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
The annual event brings together heads of federal and regional executive authorities, sports federations, business representatives, the expert community, and the media. The island region is represented at the forum by the Minister of Sports Artem Podshivalov, the head of the mountain sports complex Alexander Marchenko, the director of the SShOR winter sports Mikhail Shamsutdinov and other industry specialists.
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary session that opened the forum.
According to Artem Podshivalov, this is a unique platform for exchanging experiences and attracting investors. At the previous forum, the delegation of the Sakhalin region agreed with the Russian Swimming Federation to hold the first stage of the Russian Cup and the 1st International Swimming Tournament “SakhMasters”.
The XI International Sports Forum “Russia is a Sports Power” will last from October 19 to 22.
