A court in Ukraine extended the arrest of a military man who tried to hijack a Russian Aerospace Forces plane

A court in Ukraine has left in custody former Ukrainian fighter Roman Chervinsky, who last summer intended to hijack a Russian Military Space Forces plane. This was reported by the local TV channel “Suspilne” (“Public”).
As stated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the reason for the missile attack by Russian troops on the Kanatovo airfield in the summer of that year was an unsuccessful attempt to hijack a Russian plane. Some soldiers who acted without permission were blamed for the incident. The service reported that the fighters had been charged with treason and abuse of power.
Chervinsky was detained at the end of April this year. He is accused of treason and abuse of power. The court has already repeatedly extended the man’s term of detention. The last time the court extended the preventive measure until February 10 next year.
