A court in Moscow fined Zoom 115 million rubles

The Tagansky District Court imposed a so-called turnover fine in the amount of 115 million rubles on the video service Zoom for failure to fulfill obligations to organize the activities of a foreign person on the Internet in the Russian Federation.
The magistrate of Judicial District No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow, Timur Vakhrameev, announced a resolution according to which Zoom Video Communications Inc. punishment was imposed in the form of a fine in the amount of 115 million 68 thousand 103 rubles and 20 kopecks.
Zoom was found guilty of failure to fulfill the obligations provided for by Russian legislation on the activities of foreign persons on the Internet on the territory of the Russian Federation (Part 2 of Article 13.49 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). It is noted that representatives and defenders of the foreign company did not appear at the court hearing.
