The Kuntsevsky Court of Moscow today, November 9, arrested in absentia the deputy of the municipal district “Prospect Vernadsky” Elena Filina (elected from Yabloko, but later left the party). Ms. Filina is accused of publicly disseminating deliberately false information about the use of the RF Armed Forces. The deputy was put on the international wanted list, reported TASS in the press office of the court.
The court chose Elena Filina as a measure of restraint in the form of detention “with the establishment of a term for her detention for 2 months from the moment the latter was handed over to law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation in case of extradition or deportation to the territory of the Russian Federation.”
In early April, it was reported that several Moscow municipal deputies were charged with criticism of the special operation. Then State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein from United Russia wrote a complaint, including against Mrs. Filina.
The MP published several posts on social networks condemning the actions of the Armed Forces. Mr. Khinshtein noted that Elena Filina, judging by her posts, left Russia. In the prosecutor’s office, the State Duma deputy was told that they were checking and preliminary they saw signs of a crime in the posts of the Mundep.
