In the Science module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS), a coolant leak occurred from the external radiator circuit. Roscosmos announced this on Monday, October 9.
The state corporation confirmed the information received from specialists from the American Mission Control Center – they visually recorded “flakes outside the station.”
Roscosmos emphasized that the main thermal control circuit of the Nauka module continues to function as normal and create comfortable conditions in the residential area.
There are no threats to space station crew members due to a coolant leak.
Earlier, Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov demonstrated how on board the ISS carry out water procedures — showed how crew members wash themselves in the absence of gravity.
Meanwhile, Sergei Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin returned to Earth after the longest mission in history on the International Space Station. Crew spent 371 days in space.
