The XXII Christmas volleyball tournament among veterans was held in Veliky Novgorod, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city administration said.
Five teams took part in the men’s part of the tournament. The first place was won by the Avtopark team from Veliky Novgorod, silver went to athletes from St. Petersburg, bronze to volleyball players from the city of Pushkin. Teams “Temp” from Borovichi and “Dynamo” from the regional center also competed.
Four teams took part in the women’s part of the tournament. The Novgorod team “Mashi and the Bear” won the gold medals, second place went to “Dynamo” from Veliky Novgorod, and third place went to the “Severyanka” team from Petrozavodsk. The best players of the tournament received memorable prizes.
Previously “MK in Veliky Novgorod” reportedthat a New Year’s 3×3 basketball tournament took place in the village of Batetsky.
