Konstantin Popov from Dubna became the winner of the Russian Chess Championship
Konstantin Popov won the Russian championship among athletes under 19 years old. 45 athletes fought for the first place at once, who are candidates for the master of sports. This was reported in the press service of the administration of the city district.
Competitions were held according to the Swiss system. Participants played 11 rounds. Konstantin Popov became the best in them. Also, his coach Oleg Evdokimov was congratulated on the victory.
Earlier, Konstantin Popov took 3rd place in the student blitz cup Men’s tournament. He became the Champion of the Moscow Region in rapid chess, the winner of the Volzhskaya Ladya-2021 and won the chess blitz tournament dedicated to the memory of Alexander Patsyk and took part in many other competitions.
