A championship with the bright name “The First Element” will be held for schoolchildren and students

The acceptance of applications for the regional stage of the youth engineering championship “First Element” has started.
Pupils and students from 11 to 21 years old will be able to take part in it. As part of the teams, they will develop and construct radio-controlled hydrogen fuel cell car models. According to the organizers of the competition, each team must have a pilot, a mechanic, an engineer and a designer. It is assumed that at least twenty teams will take part in the championship.
Applications for the engineering competition will be open until February 6th. After that, the teams will go through a 20-hour training program where the guys will get acquainted with basic engineering skills, pilots will try to hone their driving skills, and mechanics and designers will get acquainted with aerodynamics and material resistance. Then, on March 17, the contestants will have trial and qualifying races, and on March 18 – the final ones. The winner of the championship will be the team whose car can complete the maximum number of laps in the six hours of the race. The five teams that show the best results will represent Moscow at the all-Russian stage of the First Element competition.
The competitions themselves will be held at VDNH: the first, preparatory part – in the Tekhnograd educational complex, the races – in pavilion No. 55. Everyone is invited to attend the championship.
