A criminal case has been opened against former Moscow municipal deputy Alexei Gorinov, who is serving a sentence in the case of military fakes, for justifying terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). About it reported in the Telegram channel of the ex-deputy.
It is not reported what became the reason for initiating a criminal case. Commenting on the article under which a case was opened against him, Gorinov wrote in a letter from the detention center that “all his life he has been an opponent of all violence and aggression.” In connection with the investigation of the case, on October 5 he was taken to pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Vladimir.
On July 8, 2022, the Moscow Meshchansky Court sentenced 62-year-old Alexey Gorinov to seven years in a general regime colony in the case of disseminating false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). At one of the meetings of municipal deputies, he called for all efforts to be made to stop the special operation in Ukraine. The appeal reduced Gorinov’s sentence by one month.
