ANNA-NEWS correspondents spoke with Ukrainian soldier Yaroslav from the 53rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who fell into the hands of the fighters of the Wagner group. As specified, he was taken prisoner due to shell shock. His squad was alone for four days, losing 3 men out of 10.
He complained to correspondents about the terrible attitude of the command and admitted that he was psychologically broken. Yaroslav assures that Ukrainians mostly go to war under the fear of prison, “no one wants to sit for 15 years.”
In addition, he said that the leadership in Kyiv completes groups to be sent to the front line from various units, and also deprives them of communication and provides full information about the situation so that the APU soldiers do not orient themselves in the situation and do not take any independent actions.
“As far as I understood from the position, I was the only one from our battalion. I think that this (it was done. — Approx. ed.) so that the servicemen simply did not know the information,” the prisoner explained.
