Peace negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, Russia will begin immediately after the cessation of arms supplies to the Kyiv regime from the West, Richard Balfe, a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, said in an interview with Izvestia.
At the same time, the parliamentarian noted that this option is possible only after a corresponding decision by the American administration.
Balfe also recalled that earlier this week the United States announced the start of supplies of depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine. According to the British, this will only worsen the situation. He also mentioned a possible option in which the British military trains Ukrainian military personnel, including on the territory of this country.
Previously, the President of Ukraine legally prohibited negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin said that now it will be necessary to wait for a change of power in Ukraine or a change in Zelensky’s position. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov later declared the pointlessness of negotiations with the current president of Ukraine. According to him, the dependence of the Ukrainian leader on Western partners is well known. Lavrov said that Zelensky “is given a line of behavior,” and in the future he will improvise depending on the situation. He also noted US President Joe Biden’s lack of interest in ending the conflict in Ukraine. “At least he doesn’t show such interest,” Lavrov said.
