Biologist Glazkov: in Moscow, large rats could come to the surface due to the cold

Biologist Pavel Glazkov explained what could be causing the appearance of giant rats in Moscow. Rodents were recently noticed by residents near one of the houses in the west of the capital. NEWS.ru writes about this.

According to the scientist, the appearance of large rats on the surface is probably due to the cold.

The expert noted that Moscow big rats are representatives of a specific species that came to Russia from China. These are gray rats or “pasyuki”.

The specialist also added that gray rats cannot be exterminated, although the fight against them is ongoing.

To completely get rid of rodents, it is necessary to limit access to food waste, that is, to cut off the food supply, the publication’s interlocutor concluded.
