Introduced to the State Duma bill about the peculiarities of inheriting residential premises acquired by a participant in a special military operation under the so-called military mortgage. The document was introduced by deputies of the Tambov Regional Duma.
The bill provides for the procedure for inheriting housing acquired through the savings-mortgage housing system for military personnel. In the event of the death of a property owner during the SVO, priority in inheritance will be given to his spouse, minor children, disabled children, children under 23 years of age studying full-time, and other dependent persons. If a serviceman does not have a family, his parents and children who are not classified as family members will inherit the housing.
Tambov deputies explainedthat this law is necessary to avoid disputes between relatives. According to the Civil Code, the first priority heirs are children, spouses and parents.
As indicated in the package of documents attached to the bill, its adoption will not require changes to existing regulatory legal acts of federal legislation. The law will apply to legal relations arising from February 24, 2022.
