Kadyrov called on security forces to be ready to repel the threat “for the good of the state”

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, held a meeting with the leadership of security agencies and law enforcement agencies, at which they discussed, among other things, the outcome of the presidential elections. Mr. Kadyrov stated the need for security forces to be on alert in order to repel the threat “for the good of the state.”

The head of Chechnya instructed the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, Aslan Iraskhanov, and the relevant services to “strengthen the prevention of violations of legislation in the public sector and other socially significant sectors.” Ramzan Kadyrov believes that it is necessary to strictly suppress corruption violations, “and strictly hold the perpetrators accountable.”

“I also drew the attention of the commanders of power units to the need to be in a state of constant combat readiness and to train personnel in competent tactical military training. We must be ready at any moment to repel the emerging threat for the benefit of our state,” Kadyrov wrote in Telegram.

On the night of February 14, several people in the village of Stary Achkhoy with firearms attacked at the policeman. He was injured and three attackers were killed. The local Investigative Committee opened a case under Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attack on the life of a law enforcement officer). The head of Chechnya said that the other “two members of the bandit group” were detained and they confessed. It was alleged that the group planned to “commit a number of crimes and attacks on the lives of law enforcement officers.”
