The artist admitted that his house was bought with a mortgage
Grigory Leps is considered one of the highest paid performers in Russia. Each performance brings him several million rubles. The crowd is sure that Gregory is one of the richest singers in the country. Therefore, MK correspondents, having met Leps at one of the social events, could not help but ask him what currency is best to keep savings in now.
“I’m not as rich as you think,” Gregory laughed. – I was in company once. He dressed culturally and beautifully. By that time I already had two suits, one tie and a white shirt. It was a birthday: a huge number of people were sitting there, about a hundred, maybe. And they were all dressed very lightly: a T-shirt, sneakers, not entirely clean, by the way. I was so surprised by this. To which they told me: “They have a lot of money, they don’t care what they look like.” So appearance does not always indicate a person’s well-being. As a rule, it’s the other way around.
Leps assures that he is unable to keep royalties from concerts. But he believes that it is best to do this in hard currency.
“Gold is the best,” says the artist.
Leps unexpectedly admitted that he spends his royalties on recording new songs and repaying loans. As Gregory stated, the house in which he now lives was purchased with a mortgage.
“I still have to pay and pay for it,” Leps explained. – How many? I do not know exactly. A lot of!
The artist says that he has often thought about ending his career. But every time he understands that he cannot afford to leave the stage.
“Every day I want to give up on everything and go somewhere,” says the artist. – But I can not. We have to earn money. To pay the mortgage. (Laughs.)
