The court recovered more than 580 thousand rubles. from the Mutabor club for the use of songs – Kommersant

The Moscow Arbitration Court recovered more than 580 thousand rubles from the Moscow night club Mutabor. for debts related to songs used at the establishment’s events. The lawsuit was filed by the Russian Authors’ Society (RAO) against Art Center LLC (owner of the Mutabor trademark).

According to the court decision, 325,470 rubles were recovered from the Art Center. debt, 161,669 rub. 46 kopecks penalties, penalties in the amount of 325,470 rubles, 94,800 rubles. fine, as well as 14,639 rubles. for reimbursement of state duty expenses. According to the case materials, in 2021 RAO and the UN entered into an agreement. As part of it, Art Center received the right to use works included in the repertoire of the authors’ society during events in Mutabor. It is alleged that the defendant failed to pay royalties for music tracks that were played during the Shelter, Outline Festival pre-event, SO ICY, Pyrokmesis and 8-u events between 2022 and 2023.

On December 21, TV presenter Anastasia Ivleeva organized a party at the Mutabor club with an almost naked dress code. Footage from the event drew criticism from a number of officials. Representatives of “Call of the People” and the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption asked the Prosecutor General’s Office to check the party for LGBT propaganda. In January, the Lefortovo Court of Moscow found Art Center LLC guilty under Art. 6.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of sanitary and epidemiological requirements) and suspended its activities for 90 days.
