Moscow has updated its 89-year-old temperature record. This morning, November 1, the air temperature in the capital warmed up to 12.9 degrees Celsius. This was announced by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand TASS.
“The temperature record has been broken in Moscow. The air warmed up to 12.9 degrees, but this is not the limit,” said Mr. Vilfand.
He emphasized that temperatures in Moscow will continue to rise. By 14:00 the air in the Presnensky district had warmed up to 15 degrees. Roman Vilfand said that the previous temperature record on November 1 was set in 1934. Then the air warmed up to +12.6 degrees.
