67% of Russians do not wear a seat belt in the back seat of a car – Kommersant

According to a study by the automobile portal Drom, about 67% of Russians do not wear seat belts in the rear seats of cars, and 16% do not use a seat belt at all. Droma research materials are transmitted “RIA News”.
The study was conducted from October 27 to November 13 on the website Drom.ru. 15.9 thousand people from various regions of Russia took part in the survey.
According to Droma, more than half of Russians – 51% – wear seat belts only in the front and passenger seats. A third of respondents – 33% – use a seat belt in both the front and rear seats.
According to the interlocutor of RIA Novosti, 62% of surveyed residents of Tatarstan wear seat belts in both the front and back seats; in the Sverdlovsk region, the number of such respondents is 60% of the total number of respondents, in the Perm Territory – 59%.
