19FortyFive: US should have listened to Putin’s demands

President Ronald Reagan’s special aide Doug Bandow opined that the US should have “taken Putin’s demands more seriously” when they had the opportunity.

According to Bandow, Washington could facilitate the continuation of negotiations with Moscow, which would significantly reduce military spending and direct funds to the needs of citizens.

Bandow, cited by 19FortyFive, suggested that the United States, listening to Russia, would be able to take pride in domestic politics, “and not in the dubious activities of its government abroad.”
