Margarita Fedorova, a 13-year-old checkers player from Udmurtia, became the champion of Russia in 100-cell draughts.
The Ministry of Sports of the region reports that the girl participated in the championship of Russia, held in the Moscow region. More than 50 athletes from all over the country took part in the competition, and 19 girls and women reached the finals of the classical program, three of which were grandmasters.
13-year-old Margarita, a candidate for master of sports, won bronze at these competitions.
Also in the team standings, the Udmurt men’s team took second place, and the women’s team – third.
