12 teenagers hospitalized in Tuapse district of Kuban after swimming in the sea

In the Tuapse region, 12 teenagers aged 11 to 16 and their coach were hospitalized with signs of poisoning after swimming in the sea, reported Prosecutor’s Office of the Krasnodar Territory. In the Tuapse region, due to the unfavorable sanitary situation after flooding, a ban on swimming in the sea was introduced. Despite the ban, the teenagers and the coach went for a swim. Soon the vacationers had a fever and nausea, they were hospitalized.
At the moment, the condition of the victims is satisfactory, there is no threat to life and health. According to the supervisory authority, a group of teenagers and a coach, a total of 21 people, rested at the Parus base.
The circumstances of the incident are being established, Rospotrebnadzor employees took water samples for analysis. The authorities of the regional prosecutor’s office will assess compliance with sanitary and epidemiological legislation, including by the owner of the Parus recreation center.
