113,574,550 ballot papers have been produced for voting in the Russian presidential elections, said Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Central Election Commission. They were delivered to all sites in 89 regions.

Mrs. Pamfilova announced the start of work of the Central Election Commission information center. She noted that this is, in fact, the main headquarters where voting data is collected, communicated and commented on, and preliminary voting results are announced.

More than 94 thousand polling stations have been prepared for the elections. “91,401 polling stations were formed in accordance with the general procedure, 2,538 polling stations were established in places of temporary stay,” Ms. Pamfilov said at a meeting in the information center (quoted from TASS).

Some CEC members are located in new regions. They help with organizing voting. Ms. Pamfilova spoke about the “huge pressure” that is being put on members of election commissions in new regions. “You know, we experience everything all the time (pressure.—”Kommersant”), we receive threats, we are under sanctions,” she added.

1,447 representatives from 90 media outlets are accredited to work in the information center. About half of the media are foreign. 12.7 thousand representatives from 24.6 thousand media outlets are accredited to work at the sites.

Voting in the Russian presidential elections will take place from March 15 to 17. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation registered four candidates: self-nominated Vladimir Putin, Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party and Vladislav Davankov from the New People.
