Russian warrant officer Vitaly Kosyakin told how he managed to evacuate a helicopter from the battlefield in the zone of a special military operation and remain unnoticed. The helicopter was only 15 km from the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“It was an interesting episode. It was long, almost a day,” Kosyakin noted on videowhich is published by the Russian Ministry of Defense in its Telegram channel.
According to the warrant officer, they had to operate in an open field at night. He noted that the Russian military deployed two cranes and with their help removed the propellers from the helicopter, and then took it out using a trawl.
At the same time, Kosyakin emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces still managed to notice, but were too late; they began shelling the area when the Russian military, along with the helicopter, had already left.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that warrant officer Kosyakin is from Tambov. Before the start of the special operation, he served in Ryazan and taught young officers how to drive trucks.
