10 years without a champion: a film was released in memory of the famous Kuban wrestler Besik Kudukhov

On the 10th anniversary of the death of 4-time world champion in freestyle wrestling, silver and bronze medalist of the Olympic Games Besik Kudukhov, a documentary film was released. This was reported by the Kuban Wrestling Development Fund.
Kudukhov began wrestling in Beslan, and subsequently represented the Krasnodar region for a long time. Kudukhov won the world championships in Baku 2007, Danish Herning 2009, Moscow 2010, Istanbul 2011. At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing he became third, in London 2012 – second.
On December 29, 2013, Besik Kudukhov’s life was cut short in a car accident near Armavir. He was only 27 years old.
A tournament in his memory is held annually in Krasnodar. Also in the city, in the Sports Village microdistrict near the Western Bypass, a street named after Besik Serodinovich Kudukhov appeared. He was posthumously inducted into the International United Wrestling Federation Hall of Fame.
