In the US, a 10-year-old girl married her best friend and died of leukemia 12 days after the wedding. The sad story that happened in North Carolina was told by The New York Post.
10-year-old Emma Edwards struggled with a serious illness for a long time. She was friends with a boy named Daniel, they dreamed of getting married when they grew up and having three children. However, unfortunately, at the end of June, the doctors told the parents that they would not be able to save the girl.
Then the parents decided to fulfill Emma’s cherished desire and organize a wedding for them and Daniel. The ceremony was held at the girl’s grandmother’s house. Emma’s father brought her to the altar – Emma herself was very weak and could only move around in a wheelchair. About 100 guests attended the wedding.
The girl passed away 12 days after the wedding.
