Zyuganov’s grandson applied for a nomination as a candidate for mayor of Moscow

Moscow City Duma deputy, grandson of Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov, Leonid Zyuganov submitted documents to the Moscow City Election Committee for nomination as a candidate for mayor of Moscow. This was reported in the press service of the deputy, writes TASS. On June 23, the Moscow branch of the Communist Party supported the nomination of Zyuganov as a candidate for mayor of the capital.
On June 21, Vice Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov (“New People”) filed documents for the nomination for mayoral elections. Last week, on June 23, the documents were personally submitted by State Duma deputy, head of the Moscow branch of A Just Russia – Patriots – For Truth Dmitry Gusev. At the same time, the documents were submitted by the vice-speaker of the lower house, Boris Chernyshev (LDPR).
On June 14, the acting mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, also submitted documents to the commission – this is his first nomination from the United Russia party.
The election of the mayor of Moscow will last three days – from 8 to 10 September. They will also use remote electronic voting.
