ZSK deputy Sergei Khandozhko spoke about the need to attract young Kuban residents to sports

Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory Sergei Khandozhko said that this year it is planned to involve as many young Kuban residents as possible in sports.

The deputy chairman of the committee on physical culture, sports and youth affairs emphasized that this task is set by the head of Kuban Veniamin Kondratyev and the speaker of the ZSK Yuri Burlachko, fulfilling the instructions of Vladimir Putin.

Sergei Khandozhko noted that sport needs to be made a norm of life, especially for young people. The people’s representative intends to continue meetings with the younger generation this year to find out what they need support for.

– The task of deputies is to provide all possible assistance to young people and introduce them to sports through the implementation of new projects, and joint ones. Our “Young Guards” can also provide all possible assistance in this,” the deputy said.

He emphasized that the region pays great attention to the issue of involving youth in sports. The number of athletes is growing, as is the number of awards won by Krasnodar residents. This is facilitated by the creation of accessible sports infrastructure in municipalities: sports and recreation centers, open areas, martial arts centers.

One of these centers will be the Sambo Palace. A grandiose sports facility is being built in Krasnodar. The people’s representative visited the site and talked with the workers. The bulk of the work has already been done – soon novice athletes can begin training.

Sergei Khandozhko himself, who, as he noted, once practiced mixed martial arts, recommended that parents pay attention to sambo.

“This sport has a positive effect on character – the child becomes more self-confident and restrained,” said the deputy.
