Kuban parliamentarian Sergei Khandozhko spoke about the implementation of the project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography” in the Krasnodar region. The ZSK deputy regularly meets with young people at city events and educational organizations and reports on the importance of playing sports.

The legislator recalled that the project’s goal is to increase the number of Russians involved in physical education and sports to 70% by 2030. “I am confident that the region, whose authorities are striving to create the necessary conditions for sports, will achieve this figure. Convenient modern sports grounds and stadiums are an important component of the development of the “Sport is the norm of life” project. There are more and more available places for training in each municipality of the region – look, they are appearing next to houses,” the deputy commented.

Sergei Khandozhko emphasized that the GTO complex is gaining popularity, and this is one of the leading areas of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life.” The Krasnodar region, according to him, is among the leaders in the number of registered participants in the GTO complex.

“Testing centers have been opened in the regions of our region to popularize passing the GTO standards. Sports grounds where you can train and pass GTO standards are also being built in rural areas, which is very important. Governor Veniamin Kondratiev sets the task of attracting as many residents of the region as possible to pass the complex standards, and it must be fulfilled. ZSK deputies also provide great assistance in this direction to municipalities, helping in the development of sports infrastructure and work with youth,” the parliamentarian added.
