The head coach of the Russian national hockey team, Alexei Zhamnov, said that he had not discussed his contract with the Russian Hockey Federation (FHR).
A meeting of the coaching council of the FHR took place today in Moscow. “I was asked questions about the tournament, I answered them, and reported on my work,” Zhamnov said. As for his contract with the FHR, this issue, according to the coach, was not raised at the meeting. “Yes, and what is it to discuss? Zhamnov noted. “When the season comes to an end, then we can talk.” The contract with him is valid until the summer of 2023.
In December, the team took part in the First Channel Cup. The Russian team, losing to the Belarusian team in shootouts (3:4), was left without a trophy.
