Midfielder of the St. Petersburg football club “Zenith” Alexey Sutormin summed up the results of the football season and assessed the game of the blue-white-blues in the Russian Premier League. The player shared his opinion with Izvestia.
According to the footballer, Zenit was able to play the last part of the season with a “B” rating. Sutormin called Krasnodar’s desire to take first place in the table a “working situation” and emphasized that there is no need to panic.
“Everything happens in football – you don’t always manage to win. So our task does not change – to work. And with proper work, the result will definitely be good,” – said Sutormin.
The midfielder denied rumors about the footballer’s transfer to CSKA Moscow, saying that he has good relations with the head coach of the Army team, Vladimir Fedotov, but has not discussed the transfer.
“We have a good relationship, we can communicate, congratulate each other on the holidays, but there were no conversations about the transition,” — the midfielder finished the interview.
Currently, Zenit ranks second in the Russian Championship standings. “Krasnodar” is in first place, with a two-point gap. Despite this, Zenit became most visited club throughout Eastern Europe.
