He stated this during a press conference before Zenit’s open training. Akhmetov noted that Crvena Zvezda is a team of the Champions League level, so Zenit understands that the game will not be easy. However, the team hopes to win.
“We are getting ready for a tough match. We believe that everyone wants to prove themselves, so we go with thoughts of victory,” said Ilzat Akhmetov.
As part of the 22nd round of the RPL, Zenit will play against Wings of the Soviets on March 30. Previous match with Ural ended victory of the St. Petersburg team with a score of 1:4.
