“Zen”: the words “force” and “crash” became the most popular among zoomers

“Zen” made up the top most popular words among Russians aged 14 to 25 years. According to the results of the platform study, which cites TASS, 64% of respondents use the word “force”, 63% use the word “crash”. 57% of respondents use the expression POV in the meaning of “point of view” (point of view).
The survey was conducted jointly with the VK research team using an online panel for 1.2 thousand respondents.
Also, according to the survey, 18% of respondents use the word “stanit” (to admire something). Among 16% of respondents, the word “simp” is popular – it describes a person who overly admires his partner, as well as feeling embarrassed because of his sympathy for someone. Respondents added that they often use the words “trash”, “swag”, “chill”.
Respondents also use the expressions found in social networks “man / woman moment” (describes the stereotypical behavior of men or women), “sigma” (a man who defiantly does not seek the approval of others), “dead inside” (“dead inside” person), “ the situation is sur” (absurd, insane, surreal). Respondents often use phrases known from popular videos: “If we knew what it is, but we don’t know what it is”, “You don’t understand, it’s different”, “Chill, relax”.
