Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev proposed that NATO accept the Lvov region into its membership. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
Commenting on proposals from current and former NATO officials that it would be possible to accept Ukraine into the alliance without Crimea and Donbass, Medvedev concluded that in this way the West no longer considers these territories to be Ukraine.
He proposed to go further and admit that Odessa, Nikolaev, Kyiv and practically everything else is also “not Ukraine at all.”
Next, he noted with irony that it would be possible to accept into NATO “the city of Lemberg with its surroundings (still the Lviv region), if they really insist there.”
