At a press conference, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky answered the question of whether there is a danger that Wagner PMC fighters who ended up in Belarus after an attempted rebellion in Russia could launch an attack on Kiev.
“There are few Wagnerites in Belarus to attack Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
He expressed confidence that in the battles for Artemovsk, units of the PMC “Wagner” suffered serious losses.
The Ukrainian leader also added that the Wagner group deployed to Belarus does not pose a serious threat.
Zelensky summed up that the military leadership of Ukraine believes that the situation in the north of the country is under control and a second attack on Kyiv is impossible.
