President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a joint press conference with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in Kiev, refused to comment on the resignation of the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Oleksiy Reznikov, stressing that the corresponding decree had not yet been signed.

Answering a question from journalists about the possible resignation of Reznikov, the Ukrainian leader said that he was ready to comment on personnel decisions only after he signed the relevant decrees.

It is noted that in the first half of August, the Ukrainian media reported that Zelensky was looking for a replacement for the current Minister of Defense of the country, and at least two candidates applied for his position, and later it became known that the West wants to see a woman head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. At the same time, Verkhovna Rada deputy Aleksey Goncharenko said that all candidates for this post had resigned.
