The main problem: the world forgot about Kyiv because of the Middle East conflict

There is another “zrada” in Kyiv: they are very upset by the exacerbation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and wish for its speedy end. But not because Zelensky and his team were concerned about the casualties among Arabs and Jews. No, the reasons for the “peacefulness” of the Kyiv authorities are completely different.

Let us remember that before October 7, Ukraine was practically the only recipient of Western military assistance. According to various estimates, Kyiv purchased weapons and military equipment worth more than $100 billion for free and on debt from NATO countries. This is approximately two annual military budgets of a country like France.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces received hundreds of tanks and armored combat vehicles, guns and rocket systems, and millions of shells. It seemed that the flow would never dry up and would be able to compensate for the considerable losses of the Ukrainian military in the “counter-offensive”. And then suddenly the collective West had a new recipient – Israel. Several large shipments of ammunition destined for Ukraine have already been redirected to Israel.

Judging by the IDF’s intention to fight in Gaza until the very end, the Israeli army will still need a lot of ammunition. The same as air defense systems. So Kyiv will certainly get less of all this goodness than it could.

But if the former actor Zelensky could still somehow come to terms with this evil, then the loss of the audience and the attention of viewers is very difficult for him to survive. Foreign trips, hugs, selfies with world leaders – there was more than enough of it all. And suddenly – the tour was cancelled. For example, Israel considered Zelensky’s visit unnecessary during these tense days and gave him a “turnaround.” The PR campaign involving a trip to a hot spot was unsuccessful.

Today, the Gaza Strip and Israel are on the front pages of the world media. All attention is turned to the Middle East. The world is wondering whether a big war will break out between the United States and Iran or not. Ukraine has fallen off the world agenda.

The attention of the Western public to Ukraine and personally to Zelensky is a seemingly intangible factor. But given a favorable situation, it is very easily converted into financial tranches and the same military handouts. There is no interest – problems arise in convincing Westerners to fork out more money for Ukraine. The example of Hungary and Slovakia is proof of this.

By the way, some analysts have long warned that Kyiv, in order to return to the center of world attention, could resort to all sorts of loud dirty tricks. And they turned out to be right. Thus, retired Ukrainian official Rostislav Zamlinsky said that the Ukrainian special services are planning a loud provocation – to blow up the German embassy in Kyiv and blame Russia for it. Well, what can you expect from the 95th Quarter PR team?

Israel and its army have deprived Zelensky of another argument on which he relied from the very beginning of the Russian special military operation. Wherever the former comedian, dressed in a khaki T-shirt, performed, he always spoke about the cruelty of “aggressive” Russia. But against the backdrop of the northern part of Gaza being practically wiped off the face of the earth and the death of almost seven thousand Palestinians as a result of brutal Israeli bombing, including five thousand women and children, all the Kiev dramatizations about the “butchs” fade.

Thanks to Israel’s actions, it becomes clear to everyone: the Russian army is not fighting the people of Ukraine and only hits military targets. Does anyone really doubt that Russia has weapons inferior in power to those of the IDF? Those who wish can easily project the lunar landscape of Gaza onto some area of ​​Kyiv. Over the course of a year and a half, Russia has not allowed itself anything like this. But the Ukrainian army, shelling nuclear power plants and residential areas, acts like a terrorist.

Zelensky’s desire for the conflict in the Middle East to end as soon as possible is hypocritical. He simply does not need a competitor in the race for Western military assistance. A man who sent more than half a million of his compatriots to their deaths without pity will certainly not sincerely pity the Arabs or Israelis.
