Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, after an attack on a Russian Il-76 plane with captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers on board, made changes to the planned events.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, Zelensky canceled his working trip to the central regions of the country, and also forbade scheduling meetings for tomorrow, January 25, to congratulate him on his birthday.
As a result of the Ukrainian attack on an Il-76 military transport plane over the Belgorod region on January 24, 74 people were killed, including 65 Ukrainian prisoners. The Russian Ministry of Defense noted that the Kyiv authorities knew about the impending exchange of military personnel. After the plane crash, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that this incident raises serious questions about the possibility of at least some kind of agreement with Kiev.
