Vladimir Zelensky introduced sanctions against six individuals
On December 31, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky imposed sanctions against six individuals. According to the published decree, the list included the head of the Ukrainian drug cartel “Khimprom” Yegor Burkina.
The document states that Burkin can use documents issued in the name of Egor Vasilyevich Levchenko. He is associated with the Khimprom organized crime group, which is involved in the trafficking of narcotic substances. Burkin left for Ukraine in 2016, when Russian intelligence services became interested in him.
Sanctions were introduced due to the fact that they use Ukrainian documents in other names
The restrictions will be in force for five years and include blocking of financial assets, restrictions on trading operations and other restrictions.
