Vologda authorities canceled festive events due to shelling of Belgorod
In connection with the shelling of Belgorod on December 30 by the Ukrainian army, another Russian city is canceling festive events – Vologda. About it reported Governor Sergei Voropanov in his Telegram channel.
“Yesterday’s tragedy in Belgorod did not leave anyone indifferent. The inhumane attack on civilians claimed many lives… We decided to abandon large New Year’s festivities in Vologda. Now is not the time,” wrote Voropanov.
He also expressed condolences to the relatives of the victims, and also wished all the victims to improve their health as quickly as possible.
The governor of Vologda clarified that the concert in the central square of the city will be canceled, as well as various festive events on January 1 and 2, which were planned to be held on Kremlin Square.
It is worth noting that in connection with the tragedy in Belgorod, festive events were also canceled in the Voronezh region, Blagoveshchensk and Vladivostok.
