During a press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, a journalist from the Turkish publication Anadolu asked him to ask a question in Russian. Zelensky did not refuse him, but he himself decided to answer in Ukrainian.
“Life has changed so much that I now need a translator from Russian,” Zelensky joked.
Initially, he was holding an earpiece with a translator, but after a few seconds he decided to put it aside and listen to the journalist’s question without translation.
The Ukrainian leader was answering a question about his attitude to what is currently happening between Israel and the Gaza Strip. The head of state noted that Kyiv recognizes the policies of not only Israel, but also Palestine, as well as the independent peoples of both countries.
