Zelensky called the situation in the Artemovsk direction permanently difficult

In his evening address on Monday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the situation in the Artyomovsk direction, also known as the Bakhmut direction, remains constantly difficult. The President stressed that he is constantly in touch with the command to monitor the situation on the front line.
“Of course, we are constantly in touch with the command… The situation in the Bakhmut direction is constantly becoming difficult,” Zelensky said.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said that a difficult situation had developed on the Ukrainian front, especially in the Artemivsk direction.
Artyomovsk, located north of the city of Gorlovka in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, is a key transport hub for supplying the Ukrainian army in Donbas.
Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said that Kyiv is not yet ready to surrender Artemovsk and withdraw its units from the city. “The liberation of Artemovsk continues. No one will name the exact date yet, but the enemy is not yet ready to completely surrender this settlement. Now Kyiv continues to grind its own military in this meat grinder,” Pushilin said.
