President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky assessed the meeting with US President Joe Biden as meaningful. The Ukrainian leader wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
He stressed that the meeting was strong and meaningful and lasted longer than planned. “If the protocol had not stopped the meeting, we would have talked even longer. All topics: continued support, weapons, politics, NATO,” Zelensky wrote.
Zelensky and Biden met on July 12 in Vilnius on the sidelines of the NATO summit. Earlier, National Security Adviser to the US President Jake Sullivan said that the leaders of Ukraine and the United States would continue today to discuss the issue of supplying long-range missiles to Kyiv.
On July 12, the Ukrainian president also spoke with the leaders of other countries, which he announced on his channel. In particular, he managed to communicate with New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins, French President Emmanuel Macron, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and others. He appreciated the contacts positively, thanked the leaders of the countries for military support and announced the readiness of some of them to supply additional military assistance.
