Zaporozhye NPP again cut off external power supply

Zaporozhye NPP was again disconnected from external power supply and switched to diesel generators, informed Telegram channel of the station.
“Tonight, the 750kV Dneprovskaya line was switched off by the action of electrical protection. Auxiliary power supply has been switched to standby transformers,” the message says.
The conditions for the safe operation of the facility are not violated, the radiation background is normal.
Advisor to the General Director of the Rosenergoatom Concern Renat Karchaa, in turn addedthat the power line was turned off by the Ukrainian side at 01:07 Moscow time.
Zaporozhye NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. ZNPP has been under Russian control since the end of February 2022. Since then, the Russian side has reported that the plant and the city of Energodar, where it is located, are subject to regular shelling from Ukraine. In early September last year, an IAEA mission arrived at ZNPP. The organization called for an end to the attacks on the station and the establishment of a safe zone around it.
