Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, in an interview with WP, commented on the rebellion of the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin.
The Wagnerites left the front line a month ago, so the situation in the Russian Federation did not affect the front, the Ukrainian general shared the details.
“We didn’t feel that their protection was weakened somewhere or something like that,” Zaluzny informed.
The military mutiny began on the night of June 24. The founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, accused the Russian Armed Forces of hitting the company’s rear camps. On the morning of the same day, the Wagnerites occupied the building of the headquarters of the Southern Military District, located in the central part of Rostov-on-Don, and information appeared in the media about the presence of columns of a private military company on the territory of the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions.
