Kyiv’s accusations against Russia about the allegedly impending provocation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant are lies. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The minister stressed that IAEA experts and the agency’s director general Rafael Grossi “know very well who is shelling” the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

Lavrov noted that now the shelling of the station “has become much less”, but “until recently” they were regular. According to the diplomat, “Ukrainians are playing dangerous games.” The Minister recalled that Kyiv “knows how to stage all sorts of tragedies”, including the situation in Bucha, “the strike of an allegedly Russian missile on the railway station in Kramatorsk”, etc.

On June 23, during a speech at a meeting of the UN Security Council, Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya called Kyiv’s statements about the ZNPP absurd.
